All-Star guard DeJonte Murray to New Orleans in trade

All-Star guard DeJonte Murray (27) is moving the team.

Atlanta Hawks will trade Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans.

In exchange for Murray, the New Orleans will give up either forward Larry Nance Jr., guard Dyson Daniels, a 2025 first-round draft pick from the Los Angeles Lakers, and a 2027 first-round draft pick.

Murray is a veteran player who played 472 games in the NBA. He averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

He was named to the All-Defensive new team for the 2017-18 season, was named an All-Star in the 2021-22 season, and was ranked second in the category with 2.0 steals per game. In the MIP vote, he was ranked second to Jamorant.

Traded to Atlanta from the San Antonio Spurs back in June 2022. Experienced a trade again after two years.

In 78 starts in the 2023-24 season, he played 35.7 minutes per game, recording 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. He made 201 career-high 3-pointers.

In July last year, he agreed to extend his four-year, $114 million contract with Atlanta, but he moved the team before the contract was even applied.

He will receive a $25.3 million salary next season, with $31.3 million remaining in player options for the 2027-29 season.

ESPN introduced that Murray made 40 clutch shots, the fifth-most in the NBA, including three points in the fourth quarter or five seconds before the end of extra time last season, and said New Orleans will be able to overcome the slump in the clutch situation, which was pointed out as one of the team's shortcomings. 바카라사이트

New Orleans lost all 22 games when it started trailing the fourth quarter of last season, and showed sluggish performance in the clutch situation, with off-handed rating only ranking 26th in the league, 101.5, in the clutch situation (with less than a five-point difference five minutes before the end).
